In the mystical Huang Forest where talking animals thrive, a baby cat is found in a basket by a mad scientists apprentice. Tutored by the apprentice and a wisecracking French bear, the kitten is found to have extrordinary thievery skills. 10 years later, the cat (named Freddy O' Malley), the apprentice ( a lion cub with stunted growth named Adam), and the bear (named Skylark because of his sky blue fur) have formed a team of tomb raiders. One day, they come across a toy semi of ruby which destorys a barier around some previously cloaked ruins. Upon exploring the ruins, they come across a magic box. Upon opening a box, they unleash an evil creature named the Miser, who has a mysterious link to Freddys long lost parents. The Miser sends the trio through time to specific days when something evil and lethal is happening in an attempt to destroy the heros.
