Thanks, but that was not what I meant. I want a word for substances (some medicines for example) that make you have to take a piss.

Dehydrate?

I think that should be it. Hydrate means water and de means removing. Or something to that effect.

Yes, it is! Smiley

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=dehydrate

   1.  To remove water from; make anhydrous.
   2. To preserve by removing water from (vegetables, for example). See Synonyms at dry.
   3. To deplete the bodily fluids of: The hot weather dehydrated the runners.

Isn't that pretty much the opposite of what I'm thinking of? If you walk in the desert you get dehydrated, and won't urinate as much. I don't seem to be able to explain what I mean very well. I found my dictionary, but the word wasn't included, so I'll try once more to explain:

I'm looking for a word that describes a medicin (or other substance) that increases your amount of urine.

Edit: I've found it! (Through googling and comparing Swedish medical texts to English ones.) The word I was looking for is Diuretic. I probably shouldn't use the word unexplained in the game, though. I doubt many non-native speakers are familiar with it.

Beer. Beer makes you pee more often. Beer (and alcohol in general) is also dehydrating you.

If you're specifically looking for medicines that make you urine more often, look here.

EDIT: Oops. I should've read the whole thread before replying. I'm glad to hear you found the right word Smiley

I read this and was going to say diuretic, but it looks like I'm 19 days too late.

The most common diuretic is caffeine, in case you all are interested.
