Hey all!

I'm starting a new topic, this time in (hopefully) the right section because the old one is no longer active.

So, in a nutshell:

Dagon is our free and soon to be open source adventure game engine. It currently supports very simple creation of "panorama" or "slideshow" type of adventures, and in the future support for third person view is also planned. The engine is lightweight and very portable. I expect to launch a dedicated website with many more details in the coming days.

Along with the engine, the long awaited Asylum teaser was released. This is a very brief demo that features the style and mood that can be found in the full game. It's quite polished and stable, although a few rough edges remain.

One particular aspect of this release, and not very well known, is that the source code of the teaser is fully available including all the assets, so it's an ideal (albeit complex) introduction to what the Dagon engine can offer. The code is exhaustively commented and goes from basic creation of rooms to a fairly elaborated example of a user interface, a testament to the flexibility of the engine.

I invite you to try the teaser here:

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Congratulations.  I'm looking forward to playing some of the games made with it and am downloading the teaser now.  Great to see the release.
