Don't know if there are any old timers from the Wing Commander days, but there's a fan game newly out that's pretty interesting called Wing Commander Saga.  I dusted off my joystick, remember those?, and gave it a try.  Pretty nice job.  I guess it's 10 years in the making and has over 50 missions.

I'm a Wing Commander fan, but unfortunately haven't had the time to check this out yet.

And today I read this awesome news on wcnews.com:

Fantastic news from GOG today: the last of the Wing Commander titles in their current allotment is now available! Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom is out now... and what's more, it's the massive DVD version! The release is just $5.99 and comes with copious extras. Check back throughout the day as we post retrospective updates relaetd to the making of Wing Commander IV. It's going to be a great day!

I bought the entire series of Wing Commander during one of recent GOG sales and am experiencing it for the first time ever. The original one feels great. Shame I don't have so much time to spend. And there are adventure games to play too.

I started with Wing Commander 3, in 1996. I loved the FMV scenes, and I still think they hold up pretty well even today.
