SLUDGE 2.1.1 is now released. As I stated earlier, I didn't test the 2.1 release enough. For that I apologise, and now we release a bugfix version. As usual, you can download the updated SLUDGE at SourceForge. (Mac files and Windows engine is up there already, and the rest is on its way.)

This is what's changed in the engine since 2.1:
  • Bugfixes: Freezing now works properly again.
  • The engine should be able to downscale if necessary, and not just scale up. I.e. it's possible to create a game in a 1280x1024 resolution and run it on a 1024x768 monitor. (I don't expect this functionality to be used much, if at all, but it feels nice and complete to have it there. The only place it adds extra complexity is in the freezing code.)

There's also a fixed crash in the GTK (Linux and Windows) Floor Maker. (After clicking new and inserting backdrop.)

This brings us back to "no known bugs", and this time it's also a bit better tested. (Well, there is one bit of strangeness going on on a Linux computer with Intel graphics, but we believe that to be a bug in the graphics driver and not in SLUDGE. I'm also not counting the less than perfect movie playing. That is known, and will be fixed.) Should you find a bug, please do let us know about it.

Uploaded the rest, but SourceForge didn't finish processing the files yet.

I got a driver update today and now that's also resolved.

Good to know! Then we can be certain that it was the driver.
