Adventure Games?
«
on:

I'm looking for a PS2 adventure/action game along similar to such titles as Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Dr. Muto, etc. No movie based games. Any suggestions?

Sorry, no. The reason you haven't had a reply is probably that most people here are more into the LucasArts / Telltale style of adventure games (point-and-click) than those you list.

I must admit a total lack of familiarity with the games mentioned

Well, it's a TV game, but you might like The Simpsons Game (2007) from EA. It's got platforming, puzzles, and laffs. (Full disclosure: I worked on it.)
If you want a PS2 game that's more of an adventure, I like Disaster Report and its sequel, Raw Danger. You have to escape an earthquake zone in the first, and a flooding city in the second. They aren't platformers, though.

I only had Silent Hill 3 and 4 and Medal of Honour 1 and 2 on PS2, everything else was the wife's or kids choice
We used to have Krusty's funhouse years ago on Megadrive I think, that was fun lol

I'm more into RPG PS myself and the best rpg game I've ever played for the PS2 was Arc The Lad Twilight Of The Spirits, but if you are into these button mashers can't help you there, they're too hard on the joints for me

QFT. Didn't know it's a PS2 game too, as I played it on PC.
