Looks nice, I especially like the atmospheric title screen.

But the text font might be more comfortable to read without the shadow.

I'm fine thanks, been busy doing other things, I needed a seriously long break from doing games, now I'm trying to decide which route to take engine wise, I plan to pick just one and go from there, rather than multiple options I was doing before  Roll Eyes

Hey, Nige, glad to see you're still thinking about game making.  I'm a little turned off by it at present myself.   Truth is it's a lot of work and hardly anyone plays them when you are done, but oh well.

Yeah I'm still lurking lol, I know what you mean, I love doing the games but I dunno I always feel deflated afterwards, the only exception was Candy Boom, and that fell on its arse, either that it was so brillant everyone was speechless lol.. I enjoy the 3D images more, at least people are critical in a useful way Smiley

I guess I'm still mainly interested in Flash.  I haven't worked on my Flash game recently, though.  It's not really the best platform, but it's a lot easier to get eyeballs especially if I could get a game on Kongregate or one of those sites.  I'd personally rather do another 2.5D with Wintermute.  I still might if I get this Flash game going.

You've put some good effort into those pictures, StarLite, thanks for sharing!

Glad to see you're still around NigeC.  Sorry you don't get the feedback you would like after producing a game.

About the noone playing your games topic, but have you promoted your game? Put it on many websites and forums etc.? Sorry if I'm obvious here but if one wants players, one has to distribute one's game. It's seldom enough to put your game in your own website and wait for plays. Also, coming to websites, you should take care that your website looks good and interesting too. Another thing is trying to make your game look good (within your budget of course) as it's very important factor nowadays even in freeware.

I didn't meant to criticise your works or anything (haven't seen them actually) but just threw my two cents.

Hi Kickaha, glad you liked the pics.

That's what I did. I joined a few of the big games sites and made a lot of friends there. Everyone is really looking forward to playing Roanoke. I hope they won't be disappointed. It's not a great game, it's my first game, and basically a learning process. I definitely need to work on animation, mine is really bad. But I'm hoping people will overlook the bad animation and like the music.

ad7, your game 8 Squares In The Garden was a good game and a lot of people liked it. I hope you will be making another adventure game.

I'm trying to finish up Roanoke. I've decided that I'm giving up on that note puzzle and leaving it out altogether. I can't figure it out and I can't get the help I need. Plus there are other problems with the engine not behaving properly. It's like the closer I get to releasing this game, something is stopping me from achieving it.

I'm also working on a demo that I would like to include with the game of my next game. Well I'm off. Take care everyone and hang in there.  Smiley
