Over at Truespace there's mass panic because Vray is no longer available to TS users, for me personally it didn't matter I'm quite happy with Lightworks but theres a frenzy for a alternative offline renderer that will use or share TS materials.. and work as a plugin.. upto now all I've seen is some nice mirrored balls lol and systems only the developer can get to work
By chance someone mentioned Kerkythea , its not been bridged to TS but it is very impressive and easy to use, it does have a plugin to Blender and is Mac friendly too
I tried it on the train for HW:

I picked the tran because I needed one anyway lol

Wow, Nige that looks pretty cool. I never got into TS myself. Sorry I didn't. I'll have to check out this Kerkythea sometime. I've noticed that working and playing games online seems to be a big thing now. MovieStorm is bad for that. Myself I don't like working online. I like to do everything at my own pace without being hooked up to the internet. The train looks great.

Thanks
TBH IF i was in your shoes, I'd go for Blender or Sketchup, I stick with TS because its all I know but TS7.6 in my opinion is the worst version to learn with, 3.2 the one that was free years ago was awsome.. I could of done the train with it and everything that was in candy boom.
A lot of good modelers prefer Blender over Max now, Silo is getting raved about quite a lot, but Blender always seems to have the right importers and exports, if it hasn't someone is beavering away making it

Hey Nige, I don't know about Blender, I tried it once but I'm not good with making my own stuff. If I tried to make a train it would probably turn out looking like an arse.
Google Sketchup might be more my speed. Maybe I'll learn it after Roanoke. There's so much to learn.
I'm starting to understand my arch enemy a lot better now, thanks to Bilikasana. I've scripted that whole kitchen on my own and it worked out great. I made it as far as the Hotel without a bug, so I've got to work out some bugs there. I'm actually getting the hang of the bools now, I'm even getting the if_num/setnum to work right as well. I love it when things work out right.
Looks like it's time to skip out, the Blue Jays are calling for their peanuts. Take care and good luck with HW.

Wow, Nige. You did that with True Space. Is it done with version 7 or 3.5, I'll have to look into learning TS if I ever get into my learning phase. Great job.

The spikey ball and chain is TS7.6 as the physics system is better, the chain kept unlinking in 6.6, the ground is a terrain made in Bryce
The bomb is TS 6.6 but that could be done in 3.2, it only took 4 hours and that included, doing real world stuff at the same time
