I would recommend trying out the sample games that came with the Development Kit. Keep changing a few things in the source files and run the game to see how it works.

I was checking out  how to do the walkarea and see they use the SLUDGE floor maker.exe thats kind of cool how he has it done. but not sure about the
SLUDGE sprite bank editor.exe and how it works yet . lol

BTW I can use TheWrap to warp the stuff in to an exe file .
He is redoing his site right now it looks .

You can make an exe without any 3rd party software, though. You don't need 'the Wrap' or any other tool.

Simply copy the Sludge engine.exe to your game's directory and rename your 'whatever-you-called-your-game.SLP' file to 'gamedata'. Then rename the engine.exe you just copied to whatever you want. (greenhouse.exe, for example).

That's all.

You don't need all the folders with the stuff thats in them ?
That would be cool then . I may try to do a game with this when I get sometime .
How do you do the sprites  ? how do you get them into the game ?
Or does the game engine build them into the gert.duc ?

You save the sprites in tga format in your favourite paint program, and import them to a duc with the sprite bank editor.

And to make things clear: All that's needed when distributing the game is: 1) The engine ("Sludge engine.exe" renamed to "Whatever.exe", and "bass.dll") and 2) The game data file ("whatever.slg"*, renamed to "gamedata".) All game specific things (scripts, images, sounds...) are included in the slg file.

I also suggest you read the help file. It's pretty good.

* Not .slp, that's the project file.
